Directions

By air:

• Arrive at Amsterdam - Schiphol Airport
• Take a taxi (± 25 minute drive): to enjoy favourable pricing, please reserve a taxi before your arrival by clicking here.
• OR see further directions "BY RAILS".

By rails:

• By train you go to Leiden Centraal Station. Direction "Den Haag" or "Rotterdam"
• Further directions see "BY BUS" or "BY FOOT" from Leiden Centraal Station.

By bus:

• From Leiden Centraal Station it is about three minutes by bus to the Breestraat. The following buses go to the Breestraat: 16-31-40-41-42-45-46-49 and 169-170-182-185-186-187-189-204
• From the busstop at the Breestraat you walk straight at the right side of the street. Enter the first alley on your right, this is the Pieterskerk-Choorsteeg, if you walk straight on you will find the Pieterskerk in front of you.

By foot from Leiden Centraal Station:

• At Leiden Centraal Station, take the Centrum exit.
• Walk straight ahead in the direction of the Stationsweg, which becomes the Steenstraat.
• Continue to follow the curve of the road over the bridge.
• Go right via the Prinsessekade to get onto the Rapenburg.
• Cross over to the left side of the canal and continue along the Rapenburg.
• The third alley to your left is the Kloksteeg. Turn into this alley and keep going: the Pieterskerk will be directly in front of you.

By car:

N.B. These descriptions take you to the Haagweg car park just outside the city centre. From here a free shuttle service takes you to the Breestraat, from there it is a two minute walk to the Pieterskerk.
It is also possible to walk from the Haagweg car park to the Pieterskerk ("BY FOOT" from Haagweg parking facilities).

A44 from direction Wassenaar/Den Haag:

• Take exit Leiden (no. 8)
• Turn right at the end of the exit, this is the Plesmanlaan (N206)
• After 400m turn right to the Haagse Schouwweg (N206)
• After 175m you turn left to the Doctor Lelylaan (N206)
• After 1300m (after crossing the bridge) you turn left to the Haagweg
• Follow the Haagweg and after crossing the railway you turn right to the Haagweg car park.

A44 from direction Amsterdam:

• Take exit Leiden (no. 8)
• Turn left at the end of the exit, this is the Plesmanlaan (N206)
• After 400m turn right to the Haagse Schouwweg (N206)
• After 175m you turn left to the Doctor Lelylaan (N206)
• After 1300m (after crossing the bridge) you turn left to the Haagweg

A4 from direction Den Haag:

• Take exit Zoeterwoude-Dorp (no. 7)
• At the end of the exit you turn left to the Burgemeester Detmersweg (N206)
• Go straight to the Europaweg after 175m (N206)
• After 1400m you go straight to the Voorschoterweg (N206)
• After 600m turn right, this is the Churchilllaan (N206)
• After 1800m turn right to the Haagweg
• Follow the Haagweg and after crossing the railway go right to the Haagweg car park.

A4 from direction Amsterdam:

• Take exit Zoeterwoude-Dorp (no.7)
• At the end of the exit turn right to the Hofvlietweg
• After 175m turn left to the Europaweg (N206)
• After 1100m you go straight to the Voorschoterweg (N206)
• After 600m turn right to the Churchilllaan (N206)
• After 1800m turn right to the Haagweg
• Follow the Haagweg and after crossing the railway you turn right to the Haagweg car park.

By foot from Haagweg parking facilities:

• From the Haagweg parking facilities, go right in the direction of the centre.
• Walk via the Noordeinde in the direction of the Rapenburg.
• At the end of the Noordeinde, go right to enter the Rapenburg.
• Cross over to the left side of the canal and continue along the Rapenburg.
• The third alley to your left is the Kloksteeg. Turn into this alley and keep going: the Pieterskerk will be directly in front of you.
